Osborne & Collins specialises in the periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations of all industrial, commercial and domestic properties. Our tests and reports are accepted by major banks, building societies, councils, insurance companies, health & safety executive and licensing authorities. This is backed up by our membership of the National Inspection Council for Installation Contractors since 1978.

We are members of the Electrical Contractors Association, and the government backed TrustMark Scheme and Chas. We are also fully approved under Part P of the building regulations and have ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. Our engineers will work closely with clients to provide a programme of works that minimises disruption of the client’s business but still allows for a 100% EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) to be carried out.

    A comprehensive set of tests are carried out on wiring and all associated fixed electrical equipment to ensure full workplace safety. In particular, the periodic inspection will test for:

  • overloading of circuits or electrical equipment
  • potential risks from electrical shocks and fire hazards
  • defective DIY electrical work
  • lack of earthing or bonding
    On completion of the testing, each client is provided with:

  • BS7671: 2008 Compliant Periodic Inspection Report
  • Schedule of Test Results
  • Evidence of any defect and departures from the IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Professional technical advice from a qualified engineer
  • Notification and advice, relating to the frequency and extent of future tests
  • A quotation for any remedial works required
